Moving around Ljubljana

Public transport
City buses use an electronic payment system and you should first buy Urbana card. The card is transferable and you can top it up at Urbanomat top-up stations.
The payment of the bus ride must be made at the beginning of the ride by touching with your card at one of the green readers (validators) on the bus. One fare costs 0.80 € that covers a 90 min ride within all the City Public Transport bus routes. However, you should validate your card every time you enter the bus.

In order to pay for two or more passengers, please tell the bus driver that you wish to buy more than one ticket with the same card and how many would you like to buy. The passengers you paid for should stay near you during the ride.

Please note that URBANA is the only paying system and there is no possibility to buy a ticket on the bus.

Buy Urbana Card: You can get it at tourist information centers, most city street kiosks and post offices hold it as well.
